This week was quite challenging for me artistically. I tried to pull off a couple of ideas, and they just didn’t work. I tried quite a bit but it just wasn’t working. So in a bit of frustration, I started looking at the work of Sarolta Ban. Sarolta Ban is one of my absolute favorite Surreal Composite Artists. Definitely check her out! Anyway, she has a monochromatic picture of a camera that she turned into a kind of house. I had an old picture of an old camera and I wondered if I could do something similar and this is what popped out. Obviously, it’s not exactly the same. Hers is monochromatic where mine is muted fall colors. Hers is much more moody and I think tells a better story, but I still really like this one.
