Week 19 and I decided to do a little Black and White work. Technically, I added a little color, but it’s basically monochrome. The dog is an old pic I took of a friend’s puppy about 15 years ago or so. The old radio was a stock image.
Why did I go black and white? Well, the original photo of the puppy was black and white and the radio was black and white so there wasn’t much of a choice. Some people may feel like black and white makes the project easier but for me, it’s more of a challenge. Color lets me blend things in ways that can hide more or make something more interesting than it originally was. But with black and white, (monochrome) you don’t have that luxury. Trying to get things to blend is more of a challenge.
There are little dabs of color in here that I added because I just couldn’t help myself. I felt like it added a bit of depth and character.
Wouldn’t automatically think this is composite. Well done!
