This one was a bit out of my comfort zone. I’ve been looking at the artwork of Billa Bozem who passed away about a year ago. Billa could make things out of parts of other pictures that had nothing to do with what was being created. For instance, she could make a hat out of some scanned-in gauze. Or a dress out of who knows what! She was amazing. I decided to try to do this with Swamp Cotillion. I think it’s an ok first effort for this kind of thing.
In this picture, the dress is made out of the tail feathers of an emu I shot at the San Antonio Zoo. The top is made from butterfly wings that I blurred a bit. The mask is made by putting two masks together to make the final one. I had fun with this one!
