It’s been a stressful couple of days. Monday morning I woke up and was seeing a shadow in the upper right corner of my left eye. Since this was the eye I had cataract surgery in August, I called the doctor and got in for an appt. on Wednesday morning. By that time the shadow was covering about half my eye. The doctor did some examinations and test and told me I had a detached retina and need to see a retina specialist that day.
They made me an appt and I saw the specialist that afternoon. He confirmed I had a detached retina and said I needed surgery quickly. There is an 80% chance I will keep sight in the eye, but we won’t know until after the surgery what kind of sight that will be. My surgery is Monday morning and I am on bedrest on my left side for most of the time until then. After the surgery, I’m on bed rest for at least another week. Consequently, my weekly postings of Photoshop compositions are on hold for a while. Hopefully, I’ll be back to creating art soon.
