–Welcome to Week 28! This is a special one. I did my first commission work! It was a piece that a friend of mine from high school wanted for her daughter. There is quite a bit of symbolism here that I am not going to discuss because it’s not my story to tell. That being said I put a lot of work into this one. First, the final piece is quite large: 40in x 40in. I scaled it down considerably to post here. The shield was a separate composite all on its own that took me a while to get right before importing it into the final piece. The sword was also built from scratch. Additionally, I really wanted this one to seem like a painting and I think I got that without it being too overboard. I really like how it came out and I hope the person it ends up with loves it as well!
