To try to get my head back into photography, I’ve decided to take on a Personal 31 Day Photo Challenge.  I’ll take and post a photo every day for the month of August.  Hopefully, this will get my creative juices flowing!  I hope you guys enjoy it.

Acoustic Dreams

My new 85mm f1.8 Canon prime lens got delivered this afternoon so I popped off a few shots just to see the results.  I must say, I really like it.  I think it’s going to be great for portraits.  Very fast and has a great, sturdy feel in your hand that the 18-55mm and the 70-200mm just don’t have.  If I actually take some time, I think this thing is going to be able to help me pull off some amazing shots.  I took this shot of Woody the Wonder Akita in about 30 seconds from putting the new lens on the camera and spent about 5 minutes total in Lightroom 3 and Silver Efx Pro 2.
